The 2014 Le Defi de Fontenil emerges from the estate's best parcels of Merlot. Unctuous and sweet through the middle, with notable plushness, the 2014 is bold and racy to its core. Fermentation in barrel gives the inky blue and purplish stone fruit, crème de cassis and spice notes an extra kick of textural richness.
